– “You Done Fucked Us Up Good, Man”
This could not have been more evident than in the face of the man himself this morning, as he delivered Madden-esque commentary: explaining from the play-by-play booth what the nation already knows. Maybe if he weren’t so disillusioned with the...

The TV audience for the first presidential debate of the 2008 election was roughly 16% smaller than the audience for the first debate between President Bush and John Kerry during the 2004 election, which drew 62.5 million viewers on...

Hoping Apple’s ‘Brick’ Is First All-Screen Laptop →
roamin:
Cult of Mac
“Here’s hoping that Apple’s feverishly-anticipated “Brick” project is the world’s first all-screen laptop — like this mockup of the OLPC version 2 by designer Yves Behar. There’s slim chance, of course, but I for one would love a computing device like this: A hybrid iPhone-meets-Macbook-Air that would put hot netbooks like the EeePC to shame. Apple’s “Brick” would be a...

Snatching Defeat From Jaws Of Victory
Who’s the bigger moron: Bush or Pelosi? It seems as though the Speaker of the House is trying to battle Dubya for worst politician on Earth, and invoking his name to do so. Why in the hell would she unleash a partisan attack with the bill about to go to a vote? This woman seems to think that in times of crisis, partisan rhetoric makes her look strong, enhances her party’s standing,...

Since iTunes 8 came out, I could not for the life of me figure out why last.fm caused iTunes to hang on startup. I uninstalled iTunes and deleted all related files, and did the same with last.fm… or so I thought. I found the audioscrobbler plug-in for iTunes hidden away under at the user level of OS X. Deleting it fixed all my problems, although it didn’t bring back two weeks worth...

RNC going up in Indiana →
election08:
Ben Smith at Politico.com is reporting that the Republican National Committee is starting to spend money in Indiana. Obama has been aggressively pursuing Indiana, a state that hasn’t gone blue since 1964. And McCain and GOP haven’t even set up an office. Apparently, their internal polling must be telling them something they don’t like.
While Obama may have pulled out of North...

– “Is Obama Another Dukakis?” (via Slate)
Here’s an interesting article from Christopher Hitchens analyzing Obama’s missteps and trappings that leave him at a disadvantage at this point in time. While I don’t agree with all of his points (and think the Dukakis...
