ChaCha Co-Founder Brad Bostic Steps Down As... →
(via deef)
Wow, Deef and I never would have seen this coming when Mr. Bostic rejected our ideas on how to improve his business 14 months ago, only to realize we were probably right. If you’re not familiar with ChaCha, let me summarize their business model past and present:
Originally they paid human guides about $0.20 for every search question input by users that they answered. Guides...

Why do notes not always update?
The notes feature updates so slow sometimes that I want to play “Chariots of Fire” while I manually re-save the post.
(Edit: Oh the irony when this post suffers from the same problem)

What A Woman Should Be:
bellavita:
fuck, is this how all bible-toting boys think? if so, then i fail completely at resembling anything lady-like. i flirt with the boundaries of work-appropriate attire, curse like sailors raised me, wrassle with boys, and have trouble loving anyone consistently.

I was thinking today about my favorite movie, “The Village”, by M. Night Shablahblahblah, and it got me...

“The debate is raging among NBA fans on whether Rajon Rondo should have been called for an intentional foul on Brad Miller in Boston’s overtime win over Chicago in Game 5. Tell us what you think about that call and how refs should call games in the final moments of close games.”

Specter Lets The Expletives Fly
brooklynmutt:
“Now I can say it: what a bunch of fucking assholes!”
“This is something I’ve wanted to say for years: is there a bigger dick on this planet than Mitch McConnell?” he said. “I know he thinks he’s doing his job, but please, what a fucking turd.”
Observers who are accustomed to the much-ballyhooed collegiality of the Senate were taken aback by the jaw-dropping profanity of Sen....

Do you use a desktop mail client?
I’m curious how many people do. I’ve used one for years (OS X mail these days), but really hate using web-based mail unless I need to - i.e. am on someone else’s computer. Somehow I feel like most people don’t though.

Forbin's World Launches →
Breaking news: just weeks before turning three, Forbin has launched his own tumblr photoblog. Demand for his adventures to be chronicled in more depth has been growing, so the little guy has caved in to the pressures of his celebrity.
He also asked that I pass along the following message: “Ladies, thank you for your kind words. You can dognap me, just be sure you feed me well as I have...

Song of the Open Road
bja:
From this hour I ordain myself loos’d of limits and imaginary lines, Going where I list, my own master total and absolute, listening to others, considering well what they say, pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating, Gently, but with undeniable will divesting myself of the holds that would hold me
