Look Miles Davis, I’ve been swayed by the cool.
There’s just something about the summertime.
There’s just something about the moon.
So I’ll lay a kiss on this storm, toss it upside your window, by the roof.
Before you change your mind, Miles, bring in the cool.

Tickets look like they’ll be going for less than face thanks to the idiocy of scalpers. May 4th and 5th in Chicago? Think I’m going to have to catch at least one of these shows.

This comes from the soon to be released, “A Drop In The Park” concert that PJ played on September 20, 1992 in Seattle’s Warren G. Magnunson Park.
This concert (“A Drop in the Park”) was the rescheduled date for the originally planned May 20 Gas Works Park free show. Despite some traffic difficulties, the show went rather well. Reportedly, this effort for Rock the Vote inspired approximately 3,000 young people to register to vote. Ed comments, “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain about the outcome.” This show probably cost PJ $100,000 of their own money to sponsor. Ed tosses the mic high above, it catches over the scaffolding, he climbs up a pole—hanging for a bit—and then slides down the cord. Ed notes early in the show, “This is like the OK Hotel times one million.” Ministry’s drummer and Bruce Fairweather (Mother Love Bone) join PJ in ‘RitFW.’ At the show’s close, Ed exclaims, “I can’t believe we did it! You did it!” smiling
Six years ago Daphne Bavelier at the University of Rochester, New York, exploded the myth that gaming is bad for your eyes by showing that expert gamers outperform non-gamers at a variety of visual tasks. Now she has demonstrated that playing action-packed video games improves a person’s ability to perceive contrast, a skill we rely on in dark conditions.
