Trapped in Time

Did anyone watch House last night? I won’t spoil what happened (as it was already spoiled for me), but needless to say, Kal Penn is no longer a cast member and House now has a mystery to solve far larger than in most of his cases, one that will likely be central to the rest of the season.

As it turns out, Penn didn’t get fired and isn’t looking to make “Harold and Kumar: Summer Tour Adventures.” Instead, he’s giving up acting and going to Washington to work for our 44th President as a liason to chairities.

You have to hand it to Kal. Not only did he campaign for Barack, but he’s stepped up to the plate to actually go to work for change. Lots of respect!

Barney Frank Responds To Claims Pelosi Caused Failure…

… And becomes my new favorite congressperson. :D

Frank is completely correct that the Republicans voted based on hurt feelings, irrational emotional behavior, etc… But how the hell does that make Pelosi any less petty or brain dead?  The larger point is: there was no reason for Pelosi to inject such comments at the time she did.  She apparently wasn’t smart enough to realize there’s a time and place for everything, and comments like her’s had no place being made on the floor right before the vote.
