Our newest site has just launched, which might be of particular interest to those of you in Chicago. We Give To Get is a deal of the day site for Chicagoans with a twist: 10% of every order goes to the charity of your choice. There are going to be a lot of great deals available from some of the biggest organizations in the city (hint: including sports teams), changing on a daily basis.
From a business standpoint, this is also the largest and most technical site we’ve created, and we’re really proud of what we’ve made here both on the front end of things and the back end in facilitating bringing users, businesses, and charities together in one place.
If you’re in Chicago, definitely check it out and create an account!
GPOYW: Stuffing my face edition
The past couple days have been pretty sweet. Eugene and I got the Maven team together for a marketing meeting yesterday, and really had some genuine breakthroughs on the direction of our company and a new marketing campaign we’re working on. We also had our first quarterly Butter Room conference call with the whole gang, and tonight I sent out a proposal that might lead to us working jointly on a project with Todd and Graham of Business Bullpen. Oh yeah, and the Cubs won their first series of the year tonight. Many more to come, hopefully.
It’s been a fantastic week for the web design and consulting firm Eugene and I started. We’ve almost doubled our overall revenue with some big clients we’ve locked down the past week, while wrapping up a host of projects from the past few months.
Additionally - and perhaps more importantly - we’ve completely rebranded our company with a nice new site, business cards, etc… I really like the collaboration that took place to create the logo, color scheme, flash animation, and overall theme to the website. It’s taken some time and there have been some challenges, but I’m really proud of the work we’re doing and the effort we’ve put into this idea.
Get in touch with me if you or a business you’re involved with is looking for quality web/logo/graphic design, technology consulting, or an entire corporate identity overhaul.
Damn dog starts drinking and thinks he can walk wherever he pleases. AA is around the corner. Maybe he’s just interested in Maven 2.0 (appearing in sneak peak form on the right screen).
