GQ magazine has named Chicago its “City of the Year,” citing achievements in architecture and literature, a renaissance in the world of politics and downtown’s starring role in the Batman movie “The Dark Knight.”
President-elect Barack Obama was “the obvious reason” Chicago was picked, GQ editor Sara Goldstein said — though the magazine doesn’t actually include Obama as one of six Chicago Democrats it says are changing the way “the rest of the country does politics.”
