This is outrageous. I find it hard to believe a town that size can really handle the touring beast should it besiege their mountain community, but I sure hope it all works out.

Would be nice to go, too. Who’s got my extras?

I will find a way in, that’s all I know.  It’s too unbelievable for them or us to pass up :)

Today is a particularly special Phish Friday. A year ago today Phish returned at Hampton in one of the most incredibly joyous and moving weekends in their 26 year history. It was an all-day event with many of us getting in line in the early afternoon, drinking beers and catching up with old friends, making new ones, and soaking in the incredible energy surrounding it all. So here’s a few Hamptonversary photos for all of you. We’ve had our band back for a year now!!

3.6.9 was one of those days that was so incredibly wonderful that you just wish you had a time machine to take you right back to it.

Telluride Daily Post: “Mark your calendars: Phish”
Mountains rule, and so does Phish.

Phish is on the calendar. Telluride’s arts board approved putting the jam band on the arts calendar for Aug. 9 and 10.
The arts and culture board, CCAASE, handles the scheduling for the town, so that no two major festivals are booked on the same weekend.
The band would play for 9,000 people, said Craig Ferguson, the organizer of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. He’s working with Phish’s promoter, AEG Live, on bringing the band here.
If 9,000 people show up, that would make the Phish concert one of the biggest events of the summer, up there with Bluegrass and Blues and Brews.

According to today’s Denver Post:

After a memorable four-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last summer, the reunited jam band may pay a visit to Telluride’s Town Park on Aug. 9-10 — if the interested parties can land on the same page.

“We and AEG would like to invite the band to town,…

Trey Anastasio Band - Show Of Life
February 8, 2010 - The Jefferson, Charlottesville, VA

Another collaboration between Trey and the Dude of Life, this one has Phish written all over it.  Excellent melody and excellent vocal harmonies.

Lyrics:

It’s no easy road
This struggle and strife
We find ourselves in the show of life
What’s on the schedule
What’s on your plan
Do you ever ignore
What you don’t understand

Don’t ask me cause I don’t know
I just fasten my seatbelt wherever I go

It’s been perfectly planned, it’s completely insane
It’s a revolving cast but it’s the same old game

Waves of people
Come and they go
Shine for a while,
It’s a marvelous show

It’s a limited time that we exist
We slowly make our way into the mist

My thoughts are racing,
I see faces
Of the friends that I recall
I’d like to take this time,
To thank you all!

Just as the blind imagine
What it is to have sight
We slowly take a stroll
Into the night

It’s no easy road
This struggle and strife

We find ourselves in the show of life!

In the show of life
In the show of life
(Find myself right here)

Phish - “Tweezer”
12.29.09 - American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL

Phish saves the best for last this year, with this nasty groove monster. Complete with a Dizzy Gillespie “Manteca” jam, the funk piles on before teasing “What’s The Use” at the end. Viva la Phish in Miami!
