Well, we’re stuck on the tarmac in Charlotte. Flight’s being rerouted and I’m sweating my ass off in an exit row. Where is Ditka when you need that miracle play call?

Oh yeah, it’s so beautiful in Chicago today! Forbin and I went for a quick walk to the beach muddy pooping area behind the apartment and decided to stop under the palm trees rain-free awning. Life is soooooo good that it has stolen part of my face!

It’s so cold that even the garage is frosting from in the inside out.
Since it appears I’m going to be without Internet until next Monday now, I came back to my parents house in Valpo, which is currently getting hammered by lake effect snow. We’ve got at least 5 inches today and it’s started to come down even harder… maybe another 3-4 inches tonight.
The lake effect never makes an impact in Chicago because the storm system must move from land to a warmer body of water before picking up steam. However, in northwest Indiana, we’re south of Lake Michigan and see much more amplified snowfalls. I have to admit (if it weren’t for the frigid wind chills which are going to go as low as -35 tonight) it’s quite beautiful out right now.

Worst dog walks ever. Especially when your dog weighs a dozen lbs. It becomes more of a dog ‘carry’ that concludes in dropping him in a spot and hoping his bodily functions still work.

What a glorious, oh so glorious day! I woke up with a smile, and think it might just be there all day =)

The great part about this chilly spring is that now we’re having exceptionally mild, dare I say PERFECT, weather in May! (this post brought to you from my deck)
